Churg-Strauss syndrome, also known as eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, is one of a handful of uncommon autoimmune illnesses that can lead to vasculitis, or inflammation of the blood vessels, which is sometimes not noticeable in the early stages of the illness. Arterioles, capillaries, venules, and coronary arteries are among the tiny and medium-sized systemic blood vessels that are most commonly impacted by Churg-Strauss syndrome. Evidence of granulomatous necrotizing vasculitis, which is characterised by inflammation of the blood vessels, signs of tissue death (or necrosis), and collections of immune cells in or near the vessel wall, are characteristics of the condition.
